Closed for the Season (2023) – Thank you!

Riverview Farmers Market is now closed for the season – thank you to all of our patrons, vendors, sponsors and partners for a fantastic 13th year! We saw a great expansion in number and variety of vendors this year, multiple exciting neighborhood events, and hosted fun returning as well as new musical artists. See some photo highlights below.

We hosted 5 major events this year, including: a new Summer Solstice festival, the community favorite Peach Pie Contest, the returning Harvest Festival, our most popular Day of the Dead Festival and of course, we capped off the year with our blow-out Heights Holiday Market.

We continued to offer bi-monthly arts & crafts classes, yoga, tactile play for little ones, and live music on a regular schedule. We offered healthy food demos in partnership with the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program at Rutgers. We tried out some new activities as well, including bucket drumming and open dance lessons for the kids. All art & music programming that we do is funded partially by a the Hudson County Local Arts Program grant.

We are proud to run the city’s largest SNAP/EBT matching program for Farmers Markets – in partnership with Good Food Bucks, a City Green project. And we partner with Table to Table and The We Project in Jersey City to donate hundreds of pounds of food from our farmers & other vendors.

We’ll be back in 2024, starting in May for the regular Farmers Market season. If you’re interested in becoming a vendor, please read up on what we look for in regular market vendors and keep an eye on our Instagram page where we’ll be posting the official application in March.
