Sustainability Day

Join us for Sustainability Day at the Riverview Farmers Market! Learn about recycling, composting, upcycling, and more! Here’s what you have to discover on Sustainability Day:
> Bring your clean re-usable tote bags to donate to the Market bag swap bin!
> Visit with local sustainability partners:
– Jersey City Division of Solid Waste & Recycling – get to know our local recycling and composting programs (and some freebies!)
– Jersey City Division of Sustainability – get the download on upcoming infrastructure projects and tree planting
– Matheson Recycling – drop off your used electronics for upcycling (phones, tablets, computers, cables/cords, circuit boards, printers, TVs, etc.)
– Bike JC – get a free bicycle tune up and information about bike advocacy in JC
– Sustainable JC – learn about JC air quality and what you can do to help, as well as the new Skip the Stuff legislation impacting local F&B establishments
– Friends of Riverview – explore invasive species and native plants for our area
– Riverview Community Garden – attend the composting demonstration in the garden at Noon
– Ogden’s End Community Garden – free flower/veggie starters
– EFNEP – catch a cooking demonstration and learn about the benefits of locally sourced produce
